CAREER EXPERIENCE​

Mr. Al-Mohannadi began his career in RasGas in 2000 as Process Engineer and held a variety of technical and operational posts. In November 2007, Mr. Al-Mohannadi was appointed in various managerial positions such as Process Surveillance Engineering Manager. He was appointed as Operation Business Manager from 2009 to 2011 and then as Operation Technical Engineering Manager from 2011 to 2014. He joined QatarGas Operating Company Ltd. as COO Operations in December 2014 up to present.

CAREER EXPERIENCE​

Mr. Al-Ruwaili joined Qatar Petroleum in 1989 and throughout his more than 29 years of industry experience; he has held numerous key positions within the company. After receiving training at various levels and completing graduation from 1989 to 2001, Mr. Al-Ruwaili was appointed as Field Production Supervisor and Process Coordinator to lead the Gas Lift Project in Production Department, Dukhan. Thereafter, he was appointed as Senior Production Supervisor (Production Department, Dukhan) in 2003. From 2005 to 2014, Mr. Al-Ruwaili served as an Assistant Manager of Production Operation, followed by his appointment as Manager, Gas Recycling (Dukhan) from 2014 to 2016, and Operations Manager (Dukhan) from 2016 to 2019. At present, Mr. Al-Ruwaili is the Operations Manager (Mesaieed Operations) since 2019.

Abdulrahman M. Al-Suwaidi

CAREER EXPERIENCE​

Mr. Al-Suwaidi joined Qatar Petroleum in 1987 and held a variety of technical and operational posts in Qatar Petroleum’s onshore operations. Between 1998 and 2007, Mr. Al-Suwaidi held two managerial positions responsible for Qatar Energy’s gas processing & gas distribution facilities in Mesaieed and subsequently gas production and reinjection facilities located offshore and in Dukhan. His responsibilities during this period included production and maintenance operations, inspection and engineering. From 2007 until 2016, Mr. Al-Suwaidi was with ORYX GTL, operating the world’s largest LTFT GTL plant. He joined ORYX GTL as the Deputy General Manager seconded from Qatar Petroleum, and was appointed CEO in 2009. In 2016, he joined Qatar Fertiliser Company (QAFCO) as its Managing Director and CEO.

CAREER EXPERIENCE​

With more than 20 years’ experience in downstream operations, Mr. Al-Hitmi joined Qatar Fuel Additives Company (QAFAC) in 1998, was assigned as Technical Services Manager in 2004, Maintenance Manager in 2010, Production Manager in 2013 and COO from 2015 to 2018 when he joined Qatar Petroleum. Mr. Al- Hitmi is currently the downstream facilities manager at Qatar Energy.

Saad Al-Kaabi

Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada

CAREER EXPERIENCE​

He has over 15 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry, encompassing LNG, gas processing facilities, oil assets, exploration, field development, and project management.

Currently, Saad serves as Assistant Manager, Oil & International Exploration Commercial at QatarEnergy Commercial and Business Development Directorate. In this role, he oversees all commercial matters related to non-operated oil assets domestically and internationally, including exploration and development.
Prior to his current position, Saad worked as a Process Engineer in Surface Development at QatarEnergy. He was then seconded to QatarGas-Barzan project for nearly six years.

Following his secondment, Saad transitioned to the Commercial and Business Development Directorate, where he served as the Head of LNG Commercial responsible of QatarEnergy working interest in all domestic and international LNG joint venture assets.

UNIVERSITY GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AT QAFCO

QAFCO’s Graduate Development Program is strategically designed to align Qatari graduates with the company’s evolving operational needs. The program is meticulously structured around three core principles:

The program is tailored to gradually increase the level of responsibility and accountability of graduates, preparing them to take on full professional duties within their targeted positions.

Diploma Programs (DP)

These programs are designed to prepare Qatari Nationals for various staff positions and serve as a stepping stone towards university education.

Eligibility for DP:

  • Qatari National under 25 years of age.
  • Chosen field of study aligning with QAFCO’s operational needs.
  • Identified target position within QAFCO by HR or the relevant department.
  • Acceptance of diploma study plan by QAFCO, including any foundational courses if required.
  • Compliance with additional QAFCO criteria as needed.

The Technician Certificate Program (TCP)

QAFCO invites Qatari Nationals, post-Secondary School Certificate, to join our workforce as process operators and maintenance technicians. The TCP equips candidates for specialties in:

  • Process Plant Operation
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation

Eligibility for TCP:

  • High School Certificate recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
  • Fulfillment of program-specific entry requirements.
  • Field of study aligning with QAFCO’s operational needs.
  • Qatari National under 30 years of age.
  • Successful interview outcome.
  • Clearance of QAFCO-directed medical examination.
  • Completion of company and government recruitment formalities.
  • Adherence to additional QAFCO criteria as applicable.
