QAFCO participated in Qatar Sustainability Week from October 08-15, 2022. The 2022 Qatar Sustainability Week, a national Campaign, aims to engage the community in a wide range of sustainability-oriented activities raising awareness among the wider community and showcasing the progress Qatar has made in the areas of sustainability. As part of the awareness, QAFCO organized a Sustainability Workshop for its employees and their families, on home gardening and urban farming, and a special segment on composting in coordination with Wahab.

QAFCO participated at the 2022 IFA Strategic Forum in Washington, D.C., from October 31-November 1, 2022, as a Host Sponsor. The theme of the conference was Food, Security, Climate.

QAFCO participated at the 2022 IFA Crossroads Asia Pacific Conference in Singapore, from October 5-7, 2022. The conference focused on addressing “How should the industry best prepare itself to accelerate its sustainability transformation while helping to feed the world?”.

QAFCO participated at the 16th Annual GPCA Forum in Riyadh, K.S.A. as part of a delegation led by QatarEnergy. Held from 6-8 December 2022, the theme for the 2022 edition of the forum was Chemistry in Action: Shaping a Sustainable Future. The dialogues at the event addressed a range of topics, including net-zero, food security, capability building, and forging avenues for a sustainable future through collaboration.

QAFCO participated at the 34th AFA Technical Conference & Exhibition in Algiers, Algeria from October 3-6, 2022, as a Diamond Sponsor. The theme for the conference was “Building Resilience to Sustainable Food Security”.

QAFCO attended the 2022 Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, which honors individuals for their lifetime achievements in the fields of work and policy that emulate al-Attiyah’s 40 years of distinguished contributions to the global energy industry. QAFCO is a Silver Member of The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, a non-profit organization that addresses issues confronting humanity, including climate change and sustainable development.
